CS Hybrid B2TKEBPPT through the National Laboratory for Energy Conversion Technolgy (B2TKE) continues to support the innovation and development of electric cars by Indonesian human resources. Among them is by clearing technology in Electric Charging Stations (EVCS).

Said the Deputy for Information, Energy, and Material Technology (TIEM) Eniya Listiani Dewi, this Electric Charging Station is the same as a public fueling station (SPBU) in conventional vehicles.

“In line with the national electric car acceleration program, in 2018, BPPT prepared 2 charging station systems namely 50 kW Fast charging station at BPPT Jakarta and a 20 kW smart charging station at B2TKE-BPPT PUSPIPTEK, South Tangerang”, she said at the BPPT Office, Jakarta, (December 5, 2018).

Furthermore, the Deputy for TIEM said, she would test electric cars for daily office operations from South Tangerang to Jakarta and vice versa. Besides that, it can also be used by users of electric cars from the community as a step towards socialization. As a trial, the facilities above prepared three vehicle test sample materials, in the form of two-wheeled electric vehicles, micro cars and city cars..

“We will do the electric vehicle road trip and the launch of the electric vehicle charging station starting from the BPPT Thamrin office to Puspiptek, Tangsel”. she said.

Electric Motorbike Vs ScooterTransportation is a vital need for most people in Indonesia. Limited road facilities and vehicle infrastructure and economic capacity of the community, fostering community interest in owning motorized vehicles, especially motorbikes. Based on data from the Indonesian Motorcycles Industry Association (AISI - Asosiasi Industri Sepeda Motor Indonesia), National motorcycle sales in 2016 totaled 5,931,285 units while in 2017 motorcycle sales reached 5,886,103 units.  

In line with the increase, the government-issued budget for subsidized fuel oil (BBM) will increase as well, the environmental pollution has not taken into account, especially air and sound pollution, so some manufacturers offer alternative electric motorbikes.

Electric motorbikes are bicycle vehicles driven by electric motors and accumulators. Electric motorbikes appear along with the issue of global warming and the scarcity of fuel, so vehicle manufacturers are competing to create vehicles without fuel oil. In Indonesia, there are several brands of electric motorcycles that are sold at 15-20 million price ranges, such as Viar and Gesits.

Uji PVThe use of solar energy technology in Indonesia today is increasingly prevalent. Until 2018, the utilization of solar energy through the Solar Power Plant (PLTS) was recorded at 94.42 MWp. PT PLN's Electricity Supply Business Plan (RUPTL), targeting solar energy use in Indonesia is up to 1047 MWp (Megawatt peak) until 2025.

To ensure the quality of PLTS installed in Indonesia, it is necessary to test the components of the PV system, mainly the photovoltaic solar module (PV). Testing of this PV module is already a standard obligation on the international market. However, the unavailability of these testing laboratories in Indonesia is a challenge for national PV module manufacturers. There are only two manufacturers whose products have received IEC 61215 certificates among solar module manufacturers in Indonesia.

National Laboratory for Energy Conversion Technolgy (B2TKE) - BPPT takes an important role in this matter. The PV module testing laboratory facility refers to the SNI IEC 61215: 2016 standard starting construction this year, and is planned to be operational in 2019. The main objective of this activity is to improve the quality of the infrastructure of the Photovoltaic Components and Systems Testing Laboratory (LPKSF) B2TKE-BPPT with the addition of the scope of the solar module quality testing (PV) which refers to SNI / IEC 61215: 2016.
